Pine Grove Community Baptist Church
On August 27, 1995, 33 families entered a covenant with God and one another to become Pine Grove Community Baptist Church. The planting of this church was accomplished by the vision of the leadership of the Perimeter Road Baptist Church. A contingency of members from the Perimeter Road Baptist Church willingly left to begin meeting in the former Pine Grove Elementary School now known as Highland Christian Academy. This newly planted church would soon be able to purchase property across the street from the school and begin holding services there in a temporary structure. Eventually the young church, through the grace of God, built its first permanent facility to hold services in. The vision for the new church was to provide the community with a relaxed, friendly environment where all people could worship the Lord Jesus. Some people even gave it the nickname "The Blue Jean Church" referring to its casual and laid-back atmosphere. The church continues to be a group of people that are casual, laid-back, warm and welcoming to any and all that come!
Roger Culpepper
Pastor
Bro. Roger has served as Pastor at Pine Grove Church since April of 2006. He has served on the staff of four other churches in the states of Georgia, Florida, and North Carolina. The Lord graciously saved him at the age of nine and called him to preach and Pastor at the age of twenty-four. Roger has a Bachelor of Arts in Theology and a Master of Religious Education degree. For forty years Roger has been married to Wendy, his one and only love, and together they have raised four children, Jim (wife Autumn), Jesslyn (husband Clinton), Jacob, and Jeremiah wife (Faith). The good Lord, through their children, has provided them with eight wonderful grandchildren. Together Roger and Wendy operate a small farm with cows, chickens, and occasionally some pigs. Both Roger and Wendy were born and raised in Valdosta and both attended Lowndes High School where they met and began dating. In his spare time, Roger enjoys all things sports and outdoors.

Discourage the use of alcoholic beverages and illegal drugs.
Be zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of Heaven.
Watch over one another in brotherly love.
Remember each other in prayer.
Minister to one another in times of sickness and distress.
Encourage Christian sympathy and loving speech.
Be slow to take offense and quick to forgive and seek forgiveness.
Unite with another church of like faith and practice as soon as possible upon moving to another town.
